National Merchant of the year
Open to builders merchants, plumbers merchants, decorators merchants, roofing merchants, timber merchant operations with full nationwide coverage across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Multiple Merchant of the Year (21-100 Branches)
Open to independent UK builders merchants, plumbers merchants, decorators merchants, roofing merchants or timber merchants operations with between 21 and 100 branches.
Independent Merchant of the Year (9-20 Branches)
Open to independent UK builders merchants, plumbers merchants, decorators merchants, roofing merchants or timber merchants operations with between 9 and 20 branches.
Small Merchant of the Year (1-8 Branches)
Open to independent UK builders merchants, plumbers merchants, decorators merchants, roofing merchants or timber merchants operations with 8 branches or fewer.
Timber Merchant of the Year
Open to specialist timber merchanting operations.
Plumbing & Heating Merchant of the Year
Open to specialist plumbing and heating merchanting operations.
Lightside Showroom of the Year
Showrooms focusing on lightside products EXCLUDING Bathrooms and Kitchens, such as: hand tools, power tools, ironmongery, painting and decorating, doors and windows.
Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the year
Open to ‘bricks and mortar’ merchant kitchen and bathroom showrooms with room set displays and planning and design services.
Merchant Marketing Initiative of the Year
Open to UK merchants who have conducted a marketing campaign that has added significant value to the bottom line and expanded the company’s reach and customer base.
E-Commerce Initiative of the Year
A merchant which has made the best use of new technology and ecommerce to extend their business, finding new customers or different market sectors.
Merchant Landscaping of the Year
Open to merchants with a fully-fledged landscaping showroom or display, where that display uses flair and imagination to promote the products and boost the merchant’s sales of landscaping materials.
Merchant Environmental Initiative of the Year
Open to merchants who are tackling some of the most pressing issues facing the planet: packaging waste, excessive energy use, recycling, the drive towards net zero carbon.

Heavyside Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of heavyside building materials sold through the UK builders merchant sector.
Plumbing & Heating Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of plumbing and heating materials sold through the UK builders and plumbers merchant sector.
Landscaping Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of landscaping materials sold through the UK builders merchant sector.
Insulation Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of insulation materials sold through the UK builders merchants sector.
Distributor of the Year
Open to wholesale distributors who sell to the UK builders and plumbers merchant sector.
Bathroom Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of bathroom products sold through the UK merchanting sector.
Roofing Supplier of the Year
Open to manufacturers of roofing materials sold through the UK builders merchant sector.

AWARDS
Independent Rising Star of the Year
Open to a person working in an independent merchant who has something special about them, that means they are heading for greater things in the industry.
MADDIE ROSE National Rising Star of the Year
Open to a person working in a national merchant business who has something special about them, that means they are heading for greater things in the industry.
Apprentice/Trainee of the Year
Open to anyone working in a merchant business who is either on a training scheme or an apprenticeship scheme who has some star quality about them.
Supplier Account Manager of the Year
Open to anyone working in a supplier/manufacturer who regularly goes above and beyond in terms of working with their customers to increase business for both parties.
Industry Personality of the Year
Awarded to the person who has made the biggest contribution to the merchant industry over the past year.
Branch Manager of the Year
A branch manager who always goes that bit further than expected, whether that be in customer service and relations, staff management and training, branch development or new strategies and initiatives to improve the branch business.
